		<description>I believe Mr dj has the correct answer.  If you start trying to nail through ashpalt shingling, you will break it all up. (and unless the new siding you're wanting to install has a brick design, I don't think it is call 'insulbrick'. A vinyl siding can be bought that looks like just plain shiplap.)</description>

		<description>I have never done that. But it can be done. The shingles will act as a vapor barrier not allowing the moisture out or in and that could cause a problem but I dought it.</description>
