bhayn007 asked: We are looking at buying a 1500 sq ft house. It could use a re-siding. Does anyone know roughly how much it would cost to have someone do it. 5-10-15 thousand?

Laura P asked: I recently bought a home. The inspector listed some cracks in siding to either repair or replace. When I questioned him about the severity, he did not feel there was major damage, just mostly cosmetic and that I could wait to address when houses needs restaining again in a few years. However, I would like to know if there is something i can use to fill in some of the little cracks, etc.

bobdabuilr asked: I will be “lacing” it in with the existing so the seams do not look odd, but the color thing is were I have trouble. I had planned on using a deck cleaner to clean the existing siding. After that I thought that if I stain the new part (12′X9′) and then stain everything, old and new, it might blend in decently. Is this a bad idea? I have not had any luck asking around the big home improvement stores and my local siding companies only install the product and will not do any staining.
