Should I Vinyl Side My House Or Fix and Repaint The Cedar Siding?

Jim M asked:

My wife and I live in a tudor style house that has some stucco on the front and cedar siding around the sides and back. The cedar siding has some cracks in maybe 10 boards on the back (much sun exposure) and a couple other boards on the side. The siding also could use a paint job. The thing is, we are thinking of selling the house in a couple of years and aren’t sure if we should invest in new vinyl siding or if we should have some of the existing cedar replaced and the whole house painted. We are thinking if we go this route it would cost around 1/4 as much as residing the whole house in vinyl. However, many houses around us have vinyl siding and we think it would resell much easier if we opted for the new siding. Any opinions?

Software that allows others to log on and view your screen as you work??

I am an instructor and want to allow students to log onto my screen as I go through their online assignments and (as I) comment on them (I use the comment function of MS word for this). I want to set up a running blog- or chat-style commentary on one side of the screen for students, and/or me, to also use. I want to allow them to see my screen, a la NetOP, but not have access to my files or the ability to operate my computer (NetOP allows full control). Basically, I want them to have screenshots that update rapidly in real-time, plus the chat-style session on one side… they’ll probably have to log in using my IP address. What software can make this happen?
