About Siding

We are looking at a house to buy which has asbestos siding. The siding is in good condition, no major breaks/cracks. However, we would like to eventually vinly side the house and wondered if just going over the old siding would be fine. I have heard that it is OK to do so if the asbestos siding is in good condition. Anyone know if this is a good idea?

So we just stained our deck and didn’t tape anything off and there are a few spots that got some stain on them. We also have some old stain from 10 years ago the last time we did this with spots of stain on the vinyl siding. Is there anything I could use to get the stain off that won’t wreck the siding. The siding is a very light yellow color. It’s not that noticeable but it would be nice to clean it up a bit.
