JamesHardieBP asked:
See how James Hardie siding compares to vinyl and wood siding in this side-by-side fire test. “Three years ago I installed HardiePlank siding on my cabin in Tahoe. My cabin happened to be in the center of the hottest part of the fire but it survived. All 22 houses and cabins on the West side of my street were totally destroyed along with all cabins on the streets above and below me. The cabin next door burned completely. The firefighters said because the fire was so hot, if the Hardie siding had not been there I would not have a cabin.” — Homeowner “I want to thank your company for producing a truly fine product which saved our house from destruction. We were located in the worst part on the Angora Fire, all of the surrounding homes burned to the ground and my house is the only one standing on the block. We installed your cement siding about five years ago and it was the best investment we ever made. Thank you again.” — Homeowner, South Lake Tahoe Learn more at www.JamesHardie.com

Michelle asked: We had dry rot on a side of our home towards the bottom. We replaced the bad wood with new wood. We would like to repaint the whole side. Unfortunately, the weather conditions here in Washington have been rainy & cold. I don’t believe the water has gotten on the new siding due to the roof overhang, but don’t want to ruin the work. How long can it be exposed to these conditions before any damage is done?

kanganiflatley asked: Our 1948 house has aluminum siding. Some of the ends of the siding slats are bending upwards, leaving a gap between the siding and the house. What is the best way to fix this?
The edges that are popping up are in the middle of the wall.

Gracie asked: SmartSiding, Cement Fiber, or real wood. We are looking at replacing existing wood 4×8 panels with lap siding for a building. Siding would be above the ground by about 8 feet. Would like to use LP Smart siding. Have not heard anything bad about it.

dsjnix asked: I have siding problems with boards that are buckling and deteriorating. We just moved into the home two years ago and I have no idea what brand of siding this is. How can I tell if it is the Masonite siding invovled in the current lawsuit?
