What is the difficulty ? It is same as saying
10^(0.5) = a/b
I think it is better you reverse the order of your expression as log(a/b) = 0.5 .
Log itself means base10 ( I don’t know how to subscript here 10 between ‘log’ and ‘(a/b)’.

log(a/b)=0.5
a/b=1^0.5
a/b=1^1/2
a/b=root(1)
i.e a/b=1

exponentiate each side by 10
it would look like:
10^.5 = 10^log (a/b)
10^.5 = a/b

log (a/b)=.5

Unless a base is given, 10 is assumed

10^.5=a/b

Is there more info?

x to the power of z = y

Assuming that is base 10,

10^0.5 = a/b
