Subtract e^x from both sides. e^(x+7) - e^x = 1. Factor out e^x. (e^x)(e^7 - 1) = 1. e^x = 1/(e^7 - 1). x = ln (1/(e^7 - 1)). e^(x+7) = e^x + 1. Subtract e^x from both sides.
e^(x+7) - e^x = 1. Factor out e^x.
(e^x)(e^7 - 1) = 1.
e^x = 1/(e^7 - 1).
x = ln (1/(e^7 - 1)).
