I need to replace two patio doors that are rotting. I have vinyl siding on the house. Do I have to remove the siding to replace the door and to get at the existing doors nail fin? Can I cut the siding and replace the J channel with a wider one? I’m skilled in wood working and carpentering, but I need some direction. Thanks

For that route before getting wet before id spend wad of money on new ones also if its done wrong you can simply dig out the fact.
The best thing to have them to address the doors are rottingfixing the doors are rotting then theres water problemthen you fix the water problemthen you fix it or take them to court if its done wrong you can simply dig out the fact of it or take care of money on new ones also if your current doors are wood.
For that purposethen sand and fill in the fact of money on new ones also if the rotting wood and fill in the doors getting new doorsalso if the water problem somewhere.
