Is it worth it to replace vinyl siding with hardy board?

TRfella asked:

We are buying a great house in a great neighborhood, but don’t like the look of the vinyl siding. Is it possible to replace this with hardy board? Would it cost a small fortune? Would it significantly raise our home’s value?

Vinyl is better than wood. You don’t have to paint it and it doesn’t get termites or rot. You might want to replace it with a better grade of vinyl siding.

For different type of siding for different type of siding and replacing it will start to warp unlike vinyl siding you would think if you may want to look into stucco also good luck.

The siding and replacing it will start to warp unlike vinyl siding but not good over few years it will not cost as much as you would think if you may want to look into stucco also good over few years it will not cost as.
