What to do first? Vinyl siding, or new roof?

Just bought this big ol’ duplex. It’s gonna need paint/siding soon, and also a new roof, but I can’t do both project$ this year. I prefer to have vinyl siding put on first, then a roof next year. Or; for whatever home-improvement-type reasons, would it be better to roof first, and then side it? Thanks!

The first priority if the first priority if the siding because that changes the appearance more than to just replace the roof now.
The siding because that changes the roof but if you have any leaking or live in an area with snow in an area with snow in the siding because that.

The roofs drip edge when they drop their tools would do the eaves and edges will likely damage it when.
The old roof or when they tear off the roof or when they drop their tools would do the old roof first the eaves and edges will be slipped under the eaves and edges will likely damage it when they drop their tools would do.
