i woudnt worry. sometimes your computer can be stupid to put it nicely. to have it more complex, a program, usually shell32.dll has crashed. this will prevent you desktop loading with your icons. as this would be the problem, you could still access your MSN, music and the internet as usual. I wouldnt worry if it is all back to normal. but if this keeps occurring, i would get a virus scan done, and maybe clear you rtemp files.
